How Shizuku is used
Can browse and manage restricted app data folders via Shizuku privileged file service with `ParcelFileDescriptor.open` and shell file commands.
This is an AI-assisted analysis of Shizuku-related usages in the app's public source code. It is best effort, so it may not catch every single usage.
How this app uses Shizuku
Continuum Explorer uses Shizuku to run its file engine with elevated access so the normal file manager can reach restricted storage like app data and game folders.
- Browse restricted folders: list and search folders under Android data, obb and app private data that are normally hidden, using directory listing through the privileged service.
- View file details: show file size, date and type for restricted files and check whether files and folders exist.
- Open and preview files: open restricted files for reading so media, documents, gallery, music metadata and search can preview them and the FTP server can share them.
- Create files and folders: create new files and folders inside restricted locations, including writing through a temporary file that is then moved into place on newer Android versions.
- Edit and save files: save changes back to restricted files by copying edited content into place, used for text editing and restoring cached copies.
- Copy and move items: copy or move files and folders into, out of and within restricted locations and rename items there.
- Delete and restore items: delete files and folders in restricted locations with recursive removal and restore trashed items back to restricted paths.
- Keep dates and game saves: preserve modification dates when copying and surface known game save folders from restricted app data for browsing and backup.
- Share over FTP: expose a restricted folder through the built in FTP server so remote clients can browse, download and upload there.

Notable details
Ordinary storage works without Shizuku. Restricted locations under Android data, Android obb and app private data are only listed, opened or modified when the privileged service is available, otherwise they are hidden or raise a restricted access notice.
