More about this app
Minimal status-bar indicator for Wi-Fi, cellular and battery that uses optional Shizuku integration to match system icon colors.
O.status
A clean and minimal Android status indicator for cellular, Wi-Fi and battery status.
⚙️ Recommended Setup
For the cleanest O.status experience, it is recommended to hide your phone's original Wi-Fi, Mobile Signal and Battery icons from the system status bar.
The method varies depending on your Android device and manufacturer.
Samsung Galaxy
On Samsung One UI, you can use Good Lock → QuickStar → Visibility of Indicator Icons to hide the original:
- Wi-Fi
- Mobile Signal
- Battery
You can also move or adjust the system clock in QuickStar to better match your preferred O.status position.
O.status does not automatically modify or remove your system status bar icons.

🎨 Shizuku and Dynamic Auto
Shizuku is an optional third-party app.
When Shizuku is connected and O.status is authorised, Auto can follow the current system status-bar appearance and dynamically switch the indicator between black and white.
Without Shizuku, Auto continues to work using your phone's system theme:
- Light Mode → Black indicator
- Dark Mode → White indicator
Manual Black and White modes do not require Shizuku.
Dynamic Auto requires Shizuku, a third-party app, to enable status bar colour detection.
🔐 Permissions
O.status only uses the permissions required for its core functions:
- Display Over Apps
- Phone Status
- Do Not Disturb Access
- Shizuku (optional, for Dynamic Auto indicator colour)
No Location, Usage Access or Accessibility permission is required.

How Shizuku is used
Can automatically match status indicator color to the current app via `logcat` and `dumpsys window` through Shizuku.
This is an AI-assisted analysis of Shizuku-related usages in the app's public source code. It is best effort, so it may not catch every single usage.
How this app uses Shizuku
Shizuku is used only to let the overlay status indicator automatically match the system status bar icon color.
- Auto match icon color: in Auto color mode the indicator switches between black and white to stay readable on light and dark app backgrounds, using privileged WindowManager status bar appearance signals read through Shizuku.
Android APIs or commands used
logcat -v threadtime WindowManager:D *:Sdumpsys window
Notable details
Without Shizuku, Auto mode still works by following the system day and night theme, and manual Black and White color choices work without Shizuku.
