More about this app
Quick-settings tile switching portrait/landscape without rotating the phone; optional Shizuku override for apps that lock orientation.
ManualRotate
A quick settings tile that switches the screen between portrait and landscape without turning your phone.
Tap the tile to swap. Nothing else to it.
- One permission. Rotation is a system setting, so the app asks once for Modify system settings. No accessibility service, no root.
- Optional override. Apps that lock their own orientation ignore the tile. Turning on Force apps that lock rotation overrides them, and that part needs Shizuku. Off by default.
- Material You. On Android 12 and up the colours come from your wallpaper.
Licensed GPL-3.0-only.
How Shizuku is used
Can force orientation-locked apps to follow the rotation tile via `wm set-ignore-orientation-request` through Shizuku.
This is an AI-assisted analysis of Shizuku-related usages in the app's public source code. It is best effort, so it may not catch every single usage.
How this app uses Shizuku
Shizuku is used only for an optional override that makes apps which lock their own orientation follow the rotation tile.
- Override locked orientations: when the force option is on, tapping the tile to rotate applies the window manager ignore orientation request override through Shizuku, so games and other locked apps follow the chosen portrait or landscape instead of refusing it. Turning the option off clears the override to restore normal behavior.

Notable details
The main tile rotation works without Shizuku. The Shizuku override is optional and off by default, and is only needed for apps that fix their own orientation.
